Strong leaders

Watching the new boy leaders in the troop it is apparent that they are better leaders having been led by a strong leader before them. Also, it's fun to watch the way those boys that were leaders before follow the new leaders. They are so much better followers now that they know what is happening on the other side. This is the great part of the boy scouts leadership program, and rotating leaders through the positions. Everyone learns what it takes to lead, and they become better followers, and can fill in the gaps and help the new leaders to accomplish the goals. It seems a little bit like "Lord of the Flies" at times with apparently random activity yielding often questionable results, but the learning they gain on the other end of all their mistakes make all the struggles so worthwhile.
Keep Scouting... Keep Learning.
